Tebro Biancheria dal 1867 was founded in Rome in 1867 in the same historical building as it stands today, on via dei Prefetti 46, across from the parliament building. From the end of the 1800's and for the first half of the 1900's the company developed the specialization of fine fabrics for the house and apparel. In the first half of the 1900's adapting itself to the market, the company begins to create various collections of the bed/house linens, men's, women's and children intimate apparel, selecting items from the best suppliers in ital and foreign countries. The company affirmed itself from the beginning as one of the most exclusive textile stores in Rome, supplying the royal family, Vatican city and many noble families in Rome and southern Italy. In the 1950's Tebro opens two other stores in exclusive residential neighbourhoods (Montemario and quartiere Trieste). In the 1960's Tebro along with 4 other companies specializing in textiles forms a group in Milan of Italian buyers selecting the finest products in Italy and abroad. They also create a private collection of linens and lingerie/intimates with their own brand. This group grows to approximately 40 associates including some of the most important stores in Italy, and having a representation in almost ever city of Italy. An important step is taken in the 1980's with the creation of a design and production department that selects the fabrics and laboratories that could produce the collections designed by the company. In the 1990's the company opens two laboratories of their own to create the exclusive collections. Today Tebro presents itself as a full production company in the textile furnishing for the home, intimate apparel for men, women, and children. Our design department creates collections that are oriented towards the latest fashion trends. Our production dept is in charge of selecting the best suppliers of fabrics, accessories and laboratories to produce our collection and to ensure quality products that meet the Tebro standards , that of which the company is known for. Our quality control department tests all products before they are sold in our stores. In 2008 Tebro forms an association (of which it is president) of the historical and traditional Stores in Rome, where the companies have been in business for at least 70 years in the same location and that are still family run for at least 3 generations.
